Upon completion of the Cambridge Advisors Training Program in January, 2000, Tedd Oyler opened his financial planning practice in the Saugatuck-Douglas, Michigan, area, where he works with families, retirees and entrepreneurs. He is a member of the Alliance of Cambridge Advisors, an organization of fee-only personal financial advisors, for which has coached newly-licensed advisors. He is also a member of Coachville and has entrepreneurial coaching clients from coast to coast.

Tedd has been a licensed attorney in Michigan since 1979, with extensive experience in real estate, estate planning and taxation. Besides being a member of the State Bar of Michigan, Tedd has been admitted to practice in Federal court, as well as the states of Illinois and Pennsylvania.

Tedd earned his Bachelors degree from Kalamazoo College (1975) and his law degree from Valparaiso University (1979). He uses his legal experience and Cambridge Advisors training to provide clients with comprehensive fee-only advice and implementation – including everything from goal setting, tax planning and preparation, estate planning, insurance review, college planning and retirement planning Tedd is or has been President of the Board of Directors of the Alliance of Cambridge Advisors (ACA), Chair of the Lawyers and Judges Assistance Committee of the State Bar of Michigan, President of the Board of Directors of the Saugatuck-Douglas Educational Foundation and a founding member of the Saugatuck-Douglas Fund, a Geographic Fund affiliate of the Allegan County Community Foundation, member of the Board of Directors and Finance Committee of the Allegan County Community Foundation, and the chair of the Business and Finance Committee of the Presbytery of Lake Michigan. Tedd has also served his church as an Elder and served as a commissioner to the 2008 General Assembly of the PCUSA (Presbyterian Church).

Since 2003, Tedd has written a bi-weekly newspaper column touching on all areas of personal financial planning. He is also a frequent speaker on financial planning topics, both locally and nationally. Tedd lives with Joy (his spouse) and Katie (their Cairn Terrier) in Saugatuck, on the Lake Michigan shore, where he grew up.
